2 little suggestions to improve an already great site

Hi friends,

First of all, I really think this is one of the best MMO sites I ever read. We got all information we need here. I love the Pros and Cons easily displayed for newbie players. The editorials are among the best written, and I really enjoy the reviews and videos. By the way, the MMOHUT channel on Youtube is simply amazing.

Put this way, I would like to give only two suggestions if you allow me:

1) When we browse the game list, we can sort the list by name, type, genre, playerbase, XP rate, score and rating. It would be very handful if I could sort results by file size (well, not for browser games), because I often try to decide which game to try based in the time of download due to personal circunstances.

2) If I am not asking to much, because I imagine it is not easy to create such a great site, I haveone more suggestion. When you browse a game, you can see tabs like overview, full review, screenshots, videos, links, and system requirements. This is great, but it would be very very handful if we could have a tab with "similar games" or "other games you may like" where we could see other games with similar graphics and playability. This is a great feature already displayed in sites like Gamespot, and it could work with a MMO site.

Anyway, I just want to say thanks because you gave me this opportunity to make these humble suggestions. I believe if they could be applied, this site will get even better and better.

Totally agree. This will be really useful and sometimes the "similar games" are best than the one we are looking

Hey there Yisrafel. Firstly, thanks for all the flattery!

Both your suggests make a lot of sense and we'll see if we can make them a reality (though #1 will be easier to implement than #2)

i agree with number one, downlaod size is a big deal for em, so havign that sorted out would be amazing

#2 is a bit harder to implement, because I would have to go there and put similar games manually, as there's no way for a script to be able to determine which games are similar =p.

Yes I can just imagine the how difficulty it must be, but it would be so cool if we could have a reliable database of free to play MMO's.

I mean it, you guys are making such a great work here improving the site with news and editorials, and I think the free-to-play model is going mainstream for sure, and more and more people are sticking to it. I just hope more western companies open their eyes to the possibilities.

By the way, just my two cents:

Thanks for the excelent "gameplay first look" videos you make for the MMOhut YouTube channel. Seriously it was not long time ago when it was hard to find a good quality gameplay video of a MMORPG I wish to see before test. Now I can have a good overview of the graphics and gameplay.

Gosh, I was getting sick of those so called "gameplay videos" with a character running around luring mobs and killing them with an AoE spell while playing that song from Drowning Pool - Bodies in the background: "Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor..."

Can't take much more!

LOL totally agree with the whole post and even more with the last part. That freaking song makes me mad everytime I hear it now, cause of all the worthless gameplay videos on YouTube XD
