Final Fantasy XI re-review now!

Hello, I have sort of mixed feelings about this website, recently a friend of mine recommended this website to me since I had a urge of playing a MMORPG that had a good storyline, he couldn't quite recommend one but told me to check this website in order to find one.

At first glance I was overwhelmed with all the reviews, I have certainly started playing some MMORPGS and downloaded others thanks to what I thought were exellent reviews.

Then the horror came.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw you also review some pay to play games, and I rushed to check on my favorite of all times, Final Fantasy XI. However I was SHOCKED when I read in the overview "No real story (Disappointing for a Final Fantasy game)."... I mean, no real story? NO REAL STORY?

The game is completely story-based! How this could happen!?

I rushed once again, now inside, to read the whole review trying to find how someone could have missed the main storyline plus all the side stories inside Vana'diel... and ok, he did not missed the sidestories, but still, the main storyline... so epic in all senses... I kept reading...

Now, I'm not sure, but I don't think he ever got past, I don't know... rank 4? 5? probably level 40? before posting his review... It certainly made me rethink of all the other reviews I read for all the other MMROPGs... I mean, FFXI is the reason why I was looking for another one to play, I needed a good story to play and whoever reviewed it completely missed the best.

I would like someone to re-review FFXI. I believe it's staining FFXI's reputation as one of the only story-based MMROPGs and as I said in the beggining, unless you don't know what's going on, this reviews do affect people's choices. Now I'm still planning to play all games I downloaded, however, I am not that exited about it anymore since I'm not sure how accurate the revies could be.

And that is how disappointment really feels.

Well, a lot of the reviews on this site is pretty old so maybe that was then, this is now.

And that one can't be that old, it's already talking about the drop coffers, and that's kinda a recent addition.

Anyway... the point was that is all misinformed and thus it is misinforming to anyone who reads it and wants to play it. Not only is wrong on what it missed but also in a lot of other things.

By example, the job (class) description are mostly wrong, it says thief can disable traps and find hidden passages and there are not even traps on FFXI and no job can find hidden passages.

Also says that war has higher HP than mnk when nope, mnk beats all classes including advanced. Says RDM has mediocre support magic when it's actually a job that is all about support magic.

But oh so sad... it seems noone cares Me sad.

I hope they can change it.

Well, everyone has different tastes and opinions. And how much is Final Fantasy online?

It's not about tastes, it's about wrong information. I can probably get a Long list of actual mistakes, that are on the review. Nothing to do with tastes or opinions

And FFXI costs $20 to buy and $12.95 montly. Additional characters cost $1.00 more, however due character versatility (You can change to any job with a single character at any time, just go to any town, get into your residence and voila) you won't really need additional characters.
